Eli D. Scher

CHAIRMAN & CEO

Eli D. Scher is the founder of New Continuum Holdings Corporation and serves as its Chairman and CEO. He is an entrepreneur with a broad array of investing and operating experience. Prior to New Continuum, he worked as an analyst at prominent New York hedge funds where he analyzed corporate securities. Previously, Mr. Scher co-founded and served as CEO of GSME Capital Partners, a private, early-stage investment partnership, and GSME Acquisition Partners I, a publicly traded acquisition vehicle. Additionally, he was Chief Financial Officer and director of MCG Group a Shanghai-based LED-advertising company and was the co-founder, President, and CFO of Fundamental Films. Mr. Scher currently serves as CEO of United Internet Exchange a New Continuum JV and serves as Chairman of Open-IX, an Internet industry standards organization.  Mr. Scher also currently serves as a Director of HMMI a manufacturer of large-scale precision steel parts.  Mr. Scher received his AB from Princeton University.

Steve Delo

DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES ENGINEERING

Steve Delo is the Director of Engineering at NCDC 603 and is responsible for all electrical, mechanical, cooling and fire suppression systems. He has extensive experience with data center systems and operations. For 15 years prior to joining NCHC, Steve provided various electrical and general engineering services to many different mission critical facilities. His customers included multi-tenant data centers as well as fortune 500 companies providing field service, commissioning, training, and ongoing management services. For 10 years he was responsible for the day to day operations of the power systems division of Lionheart Engineering, a Chicago based engineering company delivering critical services 24/7 to customers locally, nationally, and internationally. Steve graduated top in his class from the US Navy’s advanced electronics school and spent many years supporting fighter squadron operations aboard US Navy aircraft carriers in the Arabian Gulf. Steve is also a Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP).

Darrell Budic

DIRECTOR OF NETWORK OPERATIONS

Darrell is a network engineering veteran who brings invaluable experience and expertise developed over his 25 years in the space. He has direct experience in designing and implementing complex networks and early in his career was the co-founder of Ivory Tower Information Systems, the second internet service provider (ISP) in Madison, WI. He was later the primary network architect of Intranet, which acquired Ivory Tower, and assumed senior network leadership roles at Chorus Networks which ultimately acquired Intranet. He has designed and managed network services to organizations serving over 40,000 entities. Mr. Budic also serves as COO of United Internet Exchange, LLC (“United IX”), and a multi-facility peering fabric which has a point of presence in New Continuum’s West Chicago data center.

Meredith Schuler

CONTROLLER

Meredith Schuler is the Controller for New Continuum Data Centers and oversees the company’s financial operations and reporting standards. She has significant experience crafting and delivering integrated and effective accounting and financial plans, having held positions in both the public and private sectors. As the Senior Accountant, she worked for Aquascape Designs, the leading manufacturer of water features, water gardens, pondless fountains and pond products. She has also held roles as an accountant at Grant Thornton, one of the top organizations of independent audit, tax and advisory firms in the world, and as an accounting manager for a national media company. She earned her Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Accountancy from Elmhurst College, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University. She’s lived in Boston, Austin and Chicago, enjoys a well-made-yet-simple taco, and loves to get her hands dirty modifying cars to make them go faster. Above all, she enjoys and values spending time with her husband and children, their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and her extended family.

Pete Valela

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Pete is the Senior VP of Business Development and is responsible for building and managing the growth of the Channel Partnerships and Strategic Customer relationships.  Pete is a long time IT and Telecommunications professional, he brings over 20 years of proven sales success and related business acumen from holding various entrepreneurial roles and responsibilities in business development, sales and account management. His breadth of knowledge and expertise spans from his combined experience in wireless telecom,  IT and finance software and professional services, as well as network telecommunications,  hardware infrastructure, data center, colocation, and managed services deployment.  Most recently, Pete spent over 7 combined years with the company that is now Windstream Communications, overseeing the direct equipment sales management in the Midwestern Regional market for the Integrated Solutions Group division of the company.  In his free time outside of work, Pete is active in the lives of his wife and four children, enjoying many outdoor recreational activities and hobbies, coaching, and volunteering his time and energy with helping others through his local church.

David Anderson

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

David is the Senior Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for building and sustaining critical client relationships. He brings more than 25 years of experience to the company, having held sales and leadership positions with SAVVIS and Verizon Terremark. He also has extensive telecommunications experience with AT&T, MCI and as a Sector Vice President with Gartner for the telecom unit. David has lead an organizational effort to consolidate eight data centers to two for a major business services company based in the upper Midwest, and was also responsible for deployment of infrastructure that supported business operations across North America for an organization in the agri-business industry. He also helped deploy global infrastructure for a Fortune 100 construction company. David lives in Naperville with his wife and two sons.

Austin Kennedy

NOC MANAGER

Austin Kennedy manages all aspects of New Continuum’s Network Operations Center including staffing, training, and customer communications. He brings a diverse background with expertise in project management as well as strong customer relationship management skills. Prior to joining New Continuum, Austin managed multi-million dollar real estate and construction portfolios, as well as a corporate events and services business. Austin was raised in Rhode Island and completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, where his majored in Finance. He has completed additional post-graduate coursework in Network Assurance with a concentration in Forensics and has received Juniper JNCIA certification. Austin is an avid sports fan and advocates for rescue dogs. He lives in St. Charles, IL with his wife and two dogs.

Jason Diebold

FACILITIES MANAGER

Jason Diebold is the Facilities Manager at New Continuum Data Center. Jason uses his 12 years of experience in the critical power industry to maintain and operate all of the various cooling and electrical applications onsite. Prior to joining NCHC, Jason was a Senior Field Service Technician working with Unified Power and Lionheart Engineering/Telcom division, providing 24/7 maintenance to many data center and critical power customers throughout the Midwest. While at Lionheart, he was responsible for the engineering and design of numerous telecom build-outs supporting the growth and expansion of Verizon Wireless in the upper Wisconsin area. Jason attended the College Of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL and Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal, IL. While not working, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 daughters, and Great Dane. He is also actively involved as a school board member in the district and town of Somonauk IL where he grew up.
